Darryl A, Peal: President & CEO of the OMSDC

Darryl A. Peal is the President & CEO of the Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council. Currently, the council has over 200 Corporate Members and more than 800 MBEs are currently certified by the Council. The Council has offices in Cleveland, Toledo, Dayton, Cincinnati and is headquartered in Columbus. Every year, OMSDC's Corporate Members spend over $5.5 billion with MBEs certified by the Council. These minority businesses sustain over 17,400 employees, and 40% (7,220) of the people employed by MBEs are minority.

He has also served as Deputy Director of the Ohio Department of Administrative Services Equal Opportunity Division/State EEO Coordinator; Director of Minority Affairs at Ohio Wesleyan University; Assistant Vice-President of Diversity Initiatives for the United Way of Central Ohio; and Assistant Dean of Students at Otterbein College. Additionally, he served as the Dean of Students and served as a Member of the President’s Cabinet at Central State University located in Wilberforce, Ohio. Darryl is also an entrepreneur and is the owner of Randall-Peal & Associates, an educational consulting company.

Darryl’s awards include The Minority Business Advocacy Award from the Progressive Leadership Academy, Business First’s Forty Under 40, the Columbus Junior Chamber of Commerce 10 Outstanding Young Citizens, and the Ohio Department of Corrections Richland Correctional Facility RiCI/NAACP Martin Luther king, Jr. Drum Major Award. He is a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, and a previous Midwestern Regional Vice President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Darryl received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Master’s degree from Ohio University.
